Editor note: This review is an original English adaptation prepared by Notebook Center from a Notebook-Center.ru source review.
Overview
The Honor MagicBook 15 is a 15.6-inch notebook focused on everyday work, study, and media tasks. In this configuration, it uses an AMD Ryzen 5 3500U processor, integrated Radeon RX Vega 8 graphics, 8 GB of DDR4 memory, and a 256 GB SSD. The laptop stands out for its clean aluminum design and reasonable weight, while its main trade-offs are limited display brightness and no keyboard backlight.

Design and Build
The chassis uses aluminum and keeps a simple, businesslike look with slim lines and a silver finish. At 1.53 kg, it is practical for daily transport for a 15.6-inch model. Build quality is generally solid, though the top lid can flex under stronger pressure.
Display, Webcam, and Sound
The 15.6-inch IPS panel has Full HD resolution, a matte finish, and thin bezels. Viewing angles are wide and the panel is reported at full sRGB coverage, but peak brightness around 225 nits is a clear limit for bright outdoor use. The 1 MP webcam is hidden in a keyboard key between F6 and F7 for extra privacy. The two speakers provide usable volume and stereo effect for everyday listening.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The island-style membrane keyboard is comfortable to type on and has a firm deck, but it does not include backlighting. The fingerprint reader is combined with the power button. The touchpad is large, slightly recessed, and supports multitouch gestures with good sensitivity.
Performance, Ports, and Battery
For office work, web browsing, media, and typical multitasking, the Ryzen 5 3500U with Vega 8 graphics provides balanced performance. The 8 GB RAM is the maximum in this configuration, so future memory upgrades are limited. Port selection is practical: USB Type-C (including charging), two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, and a headset jack, plus stable Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity. The 42 Wh battery delivered close to six hours in active wireless use at maximum brightness, and about 1.5 hours in gaming workloads.
Verdict
The Honor MagicBook 15 is a sensible choice for users who want a lightweight 15.6-inch laptop with solid everyday speed and a clean metal design. Its biggest strengths are balanced real-world performance and good usability. The main compromises are low display brightness for sunny conditions and the lack of keyboard backlight.
