ASUS TUF Dash F15 Review: Practical Power With Clear Trade-Offs
Editor note: This review is an original English adaptation of the Notebook-Center.ru source material.
Overview
ASUS positions the TUF Dash F15 as a 15.6-inch gaming notebook that can also handle everyday work. The tested configuration uses an Intel Core i7-11370H processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics, 16 GB DDR4 memory, and a 1 TB SSD. In daily use, it offers a strong Full HD 240 Hz display, practical port selection, and solid battery results for non-gaming tasks.
The main compromises are also clear: there is no built-in webcam, and cooling noise and surface temperatures rise noticeably under heavy load.

Design and Build
The lid is aluminum, while the rest of the chassis is plastic. The notebook is available in Moonlight White and Eclipse Gray. Build quality is described as solid, with good rigidity in the lid and keyboard area. The hinge opens up to 140 degrees and the lid can be lifted with one hand.
The chassis stays compact for this class at 2 kg and 20 mm thickness. ASUS also allows upgrades up to 32 GB RAM and an additional SSD, though opening the case requires removing multiple screws.
Display and Audio
The 15.6-inch Full HD IPS panel runs at 240 Hz with reported brightness around 350 cd/m2, contrast near 1100:1, and 100% sRGB coverage. The matte finish helps reduce reflections, and the source notes no PWM flicker.
Two DTS stereo speakers are installed on the bottom side. Output is loud enough for a medium room, but bass response is limited, so headphones provide better music quality.
Keyboard and Touchpad
The island-style keyboard has medium key travel and clear feedback. ASUS includes transparent WASD keys, which are useful for gaming visibility. Frequently used keys such as Enter and Shift are large, while the arrow cluster is very compact.
The touchpad supports multitouch gestures and responds quickly, but click action can feel slightly rattly.
Performance for Work and Games
The Core i7-11370H (4 cores, 8 threads) and RTX 3070 combination delivers strong performance in both everyday tasks and modern gaming. The source testing reports around 50 fps in Cyberpunk 2077 (Ultra), 75 fps in Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, and 55 fps in Assassin's Creed Valhalla, with higher frame rates possible at High settings.
For storage and multitasking, the 1 TB SSD and 16 GB DDR4-3200 memory provide a practical baseline for current workloads.
Ports, Battery, Heat, and Noise
Connectivity is practical for a gaming laptop: RJ-45, HDMI, USB 3.2, Thunderbolt 4, and an audio combo jack, plus Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2.
Battery life is one of the stronger points for non-gaming use. At about 150 cd/m2 brightness, web browsing and 1080p streaming each reached roughly 7-8 hours in the source test. Gaming drains the battery much faster, around 1 hour, and a full recharge takes about 2 hours.
Under load, thermal and acoustic behavior is a clear compromise. The WASD area reaches about 45 C, bottom panel up to 50 C, and Turbo mode produces high fan noise.
Verdict
ASUS TUF Dash F15 is a capable 15.6-inch machine for users who want one laptop for both work and high-setting gaming. It combines a fast 240 Hz display, strong RTX 3070 graphics, good upgrade paths, and useful battery life in lighter tasks. Buyers should still plan for the missing webcam and expect noticeable heat and noise during sustained heavy workloads.
